Twenty road captains will be present on L'Etape du Tour de France this year. They'll be there to motivate and encourage you all along the route, to help you cross the finish line and become a Finisher of L'Etape du Tour de France 2024. They'll be at the FFC stand in the village on Friday. Don't hesitate to ask them questions, their advice is invaluable.
Captain at the end of the race:
3 road captains will start in the last SAS and will be dedicated to accompanying riders approaching the time barrier. They'll share good advice and support you through the tough times to help you finish on time.
The aim is to push you to the limit to become a L'Etape du Tour de France 2024 Finisher, all in a festive atmosphere.
New for 2024:
In order to welcome all our female participants, we will have 3 female road captains who will enable you, as women on L'Etape du Tour de France, to set off in a 100% women's peloton. These 3 road captains will be located in SAS 10, 13 and 15.
To join the women's peloton at the start, go to the Promenade des Anglais, on the seafront, near the Negresco. (see starting plan)
The route captains will be waiting for you, then together you'll go to the corresponding SAS.
- SAS 10: departure from meeting point at 7am
- SAS 13 : departure from rendezvous at 7.15am
- SAS 15 : departure from meeting point at 7:30 am
We invite you to organize your arrival before the departure of your group.
For participants with an assigned SAS different from the SAS in which the route captains are located, you will be able to move backwards into the SAS where the route captains are located, but it will not be possible to move forwards into another SAS, on pain of disqualification.
Please note: there's no need to register or send an e-mail to take part in this scheme. Just turn up at the meeting point.
