L’Étape du Tour de France 2026 will undoubtedly be one to remember.

With 170 km and 5,400 m of elevation gain on the program, 16,000 amateur cyclists will experience the unique thrill of the Tour de France by riding Stage 20 of the 2026 Tour de France, connecting Le Bourg-d’Oisans to Alpe d’Huez.

Participants will face some of the Tour’s most legendary mountain climbs: Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Télégraphe, and Col du Galibier. The final climb to Alpe d’Huez, via the rarely used Col de Sarenne, will make this a truly special stage, one where the professionals may well be battling for the yellow jersey just a few days later.

With its 5,400 m of elevation gain, L’Étape du Tour de France 2026 stands out as one of the toughest editions in recent years. It is a demanding challenge that requires intense training to cross the finish line within the allotted time.

Public registration will open on Monday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. (french hour). Get ready!
