In Le Bourg d’Oisans
At the foot of the legendary Alpe d’Huez climb, Le Bourg d’Oisans will host the start of L’Étape du Tour de France. It’s the ideal place to warm up before the ride—and to recover after crossing the finish line.
For a gentle but active outing before the event, you can try orienteering courses on foot or by MTB, or ride with the MCF school to recon the valley roads. After the effort, it’s time to recover: the outdoor swimming pool, a horseback ride, or a relaxing canoe or paddle descent along the river are all great ways to loosen up your muscles.
Accompanying guests are not forgotten: treetop adventure courses, introductory climbing sessions, or even a paragliding flight allow them to enjoy an unforgettable experience while the cyclists focus on their challenge.
Feel like taking it easy the day before the event? Le Bourg d’Oisans also offers more relaxed activities: the GALTA Museum, the Les Écrins cinema, and the Oisans “Route des Savoir-Faire”, perfect for discovering local artisans and producers—and stocking up on souvenirs… and energy.
