WINTER TRAINING SCHEDULE

Summer successes are built during the winter!

While waiting to start preparing for M-3, it is important to continue to maintain your physical fitness during the winter. A winter training programme will be available soon to help you maintain your fitness. Keep up the good work!

M-3 Training plan

Some of you will finish the race in 5 hours, others will take over 10 hours to reach the finish. One thing is sure: you must train, be properly equipped, feed and hydrate yourself to overcome L'Étape du Tour de France.

What's the secret to achieving your objective? Preparation!

This practical guide put together by the Direction Technique Nationale de la FFC (French Cycling Federation’s National Technical Management) will offer you a 14-week training plan broken up into 3 periods:

  • The first month focuses on speed,
  • The second on strength,
  • And the third on power.

Each week is made up of 3 sessions: a basic training session, a long intensity session and a session dedicated to elevation gains.
